The amount of time and money put into your first birthday party was definitely worth it. We knew for your first birthday, we wanted it to be a prince themed party. We decided the theme colors should be red, black and gold. That's where the headache came in. Everything purchased had to be custom made. Although, you might not understand in the present moment you will have loads of pictures, that will hopefully paint a picture and take you back to your first birthday party. Which by the was was a complete success! I was very proud of myself and felt very blessed to have our friends and family come out and turn up (The act of having wild, crazy fun) with you.
Daddy did all the running around, while mommy and grandma work on setting up the venue for the party. It was already 4pm and I was running out of time. I was very particular about the decorations. I couldn't find it within me to leave the decorating in the hands of anyone else. I did not leave until I was completely satisfied. I knew people would not show up on time, they never do. I swear people in New York are afraid of showing up on time for events. Everything starts so late, I guess that's how I got in the habit of being tardy all the time. Lol
Due to our extreme tardiness, we decided not to go with our grand entrance as planned. Plus, I'm not sure how I would have pulled that off when you were already striping and taking your clothes off on our way to the venue.
The party turned out to be pretty awesome!
I absolutely loved your custom invitations from Here! We will definitely use her again, she is very professional and proficient with her craft. I couldn't decide on which design to go with, so I decided to go with both. You can view both designs here on her Instagram and Facebook page.
The party bags were customized by me. I purchased the crowns confettis here. I wasn't pleased that the crowns wasn't customized the way I requested. But, they came in very handy!
The party boxes were customized by Amanda from her Esty shop here. She is amazing and provided great customer service.
The scrolls were customized by InkCurves here. I received great customer service from her as well.
I made the paper scrolls laying in front.
I was super excited about this party! I decided to make a few things of my own. I made the cake pops, marshmallow pops, crown shaped candy melts, chocolate covered oreos and pretzels. I received so many great compliments, I am really thinking about starting a candy melt business. Just kidding!
This crown cake was beautifully made and very tasty. I am always very pleased with Bcakeny cakes. However, due to their lack of customer service skill, I will no longer be doing business with them. How in the world do you forget to put the banner on a cake?
This cake was also beautifully made and tasty. This was a gift from your maternal grandmother. This cake is from Lords Bakery Brooklyn's famous bake shop. They never disappoint!
How gorgeous is this crown shape piñata from Never Ending Creation? I was absolutely in love with this piñata. I almost didn't want to get rid of it.
And the crowd goes wild!
Playing musical chairs.
Our entertainment from The Party Solvers got to our party extremely late. I wasn't happy about this at all!
The cake cutting with mommy and daddy!
Sharing a job well done kiss. :)
You didn't want to mingle with the crowd. Lol, everyone was so happy to see you.
Thanks to your paternal grandparents you are now taking lessons to receive your license. Lol

ReplyDeleteHow cool. I have never had a birthday party for myself as an adult, but I don;t like to be in the spotlight, so I don't think I would. My husband told me he was going to throw me a surprise party when I turn 40 and I told him I would divorce him if he did.
